CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

The upper whitewater feature is starting to take shape. Right now about 15-20 CFS is flowing through from natural flow. When the Kearney Canal begins running later this spring the wave will come alive. 🌊


KWA ANNUAL MEETING

The 2022 Kearney Whitewater Association Annual Meeting will be held February 22, 2022 at the Kearney Chamber of Commerce beginning at 7 PM. The meeting is open to members of the association and also to members of the public. KWA AWARDED GIFT FROM KLINCACEK FUND

The Arthur Klinkacek Community Enrichment Fund, a component fund of the Kearney Area Community Foundation, granted $10,000 to the Whitewater Association for the “Turn Flatwater into Whitewater” project to create a 2.3-mile water trail and park which will enhance outdoor recreational opportunities for the residents of Kearney and visitors. The Arthur Klinkacek Community Enrichment Fund’s grant cycle is triannual with deadline of July 1.
