DESCRIPTION:Sunday afternoon float. Meet at or leave a drop vehicle at Kearney Paddle Sports at 535 M Ave\, follow the sign on M Avenue\, east 1/2 mile thru the RV park. Come early and catch a ride if you don’t have a drop vehicle or come to the landing at the northeast corner of Yanney Park and float with us. If you can’t swing a ride there will be plenty of folks to get a shuttle with from either end. Join us and be prepared to launch at 1:30 pm from Yanney. There will likely be an opportunity to hang out afterwards\, maybe at a local establishment. Come enjoy one of the last floats of the season. The weather is supposed to be 80 and sunny!

Last card will be drawn at 6:45 so be timely if you want to partake.\nContestants will stop at the Midway landing where they will draw their 2nd card.\n3rd and final card will be drawn at Kearney Paddle Sports as you finish the float.\n\nNo worries if you don’t understand poker\, we’ll keep track of each contestant’s cards as you float. Bring a friend to enjoy in the fun! Prizes will be awarded to the top winning hands\, and winners will be announced following the conclusion of the float. We plan to have a fire afterwards so bring a chair\, drinks\, etc. Hope to see you Thursday night.

SUMMARY:Float to the Taco Truck
DESCRIPTION:Kearney Paddle Sports would like to invite anyone who is reading this whether you paddle or not. Normally we have several “Float to the Fire” events throughout the year but this one is a step above!! We would like to invite you all to our end of the year party\, if you are floating\, plan on leaving a vehicle at KPS and launching from Yanney Park at 6pm. If you come earlier or later that’s ok also. When we reach the KPS boat ramp there will be a taco truck there to feed the masses so bring a couple bucks\, a lawn chair and a cooler full of your favorite beverages. For those that don’t float or will be later just head on down to the KPS boat ramp behind the RV park at 535 Ave M in Kearney around 7:30 and join in for a campfire and tacos and meet some new friends and say hi to your old friends. Navarette tacos will be on location with some delicious food. Maybe a margarita would be good to bring along with you. (Hint) This is a family friendly event and all are welcome. Come and celebrate the end of summer with us! We look forward to seeing you all there! The winters are long in Nebraska\, don’t miss one of your last chances to enjoy your summer.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!\nSince the opening of the Kearney Water Trail\, there’s only a few thousand more boats around town\, and so many more people have enjoyed the calm waters and meandering tree lined green space gliding by. Lets celebrate together by starting a new summertime Kearney tradition\, and setting a record we can be proud of.\nBE PART OF HISTORY – grab your boat\, your board and buddy and meet us at the Yanney park put-in at 6:30pm on Thursday 7/29. Extra credit points for bringing someone new to kayaking or watersports.\n**everyone welcome! **no membership required **BYOB (boat/board/buddy) **Float time from Yanney to Midway estimate at 30-45 minutes. **this is not a sanctioned or organized event\, however we will have members ready to assist to shuttle from the take-out behind Midway Auto. The best plan will be to drop off your boats at Yanney\, then drive to the take-out landing where we can help facilitate rides back to the put-in.
