2022 Give Where You Live

Project Background
Over the past ten years the Kearney Whitewater Association has worked toward developing a water trail with whitewater features in Kearney. Previous Give Where You Live events have helped fund two public landings which completed Phase I of the Kearney Water Trail. Give Where You Live donations also allowed Kearney Whitewater Association to contribute to the transformation near the 2nd Avenue area when two whitewater features were constructed last spring.

Immediate Project Goals
KWA is continually looking to the future to make improvements and enhancements to the water trail. Some of these developments include extending the water trail, adding more public access, improving boater safety, implementing conservation practices, and performing more cleanups in and around the stream.

The Kearney Whitewater Association is a grassroots organization comprised of volunteer members from throughout the local region. We are working hard to improve natural resources and encourage outdoor activity for families and community members to enjoy long into the future!
